Metro-North is operating on a reduced schedule on Thursday, with all lines open except for the New Canaan and Danbury branches, which remain suspended. Riders reported crowded tracks and delays as the trains carried approximately half of their average ridership.

Downed trees forced officials to suspend all services by 8 p.m. on Wednesday night to allow crews time to clean up downed trees that were causing disruptions. Metro-North announced that it would be operating on a reduced schedule in time for the Thursday morning commute.

The Bee-Line Bus was running on or close to schedule in Westchester, with a handful of routes experiencing delays as drivers navigate around downed trees.

It is not clear when service will resume regularly. Further updates are expected from Metro-North on Thursday afternoon.
